Mattea Cussel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Latin American Studies (University of Sydney, 2010) and a Master in Translation Studies (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, 2017). In her current PhD research, under the supervision of Esperança Bielsa, she is exploring US Latino/a migration literature and its translation into Spanish from the perspective of shifting translation categories, migration and identity. She has been teaching English linguistics and translation theory and practice at Universitat Pompeu Fabra since 2016.
