Guillaume Sirois is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology at the Université de Montréal. With a background in art history and communication studies, he is currently conducting research focusing on visual practices, including contemporary arts, design and architecture, on creative economy and material culture and on the impact of digital technology in these sectors. His work has appeared in various edited books and journals, including The Journal of Art Management, Law & Society, International Journal of Cultural Policy and Recherches en communication. He has recently co-edited, with Guy Bellavance (INRS), a special issue of Cahiers de recheche sociologique, which is titled Les arts à l’université: institutionnalisation et pluralisation
