Consuelo Pedrós

Consuelo Pedrós graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Universitat de València (1988). She obtained her PhD in 1999, at the Universitat de València under the supervision of Prof. J. Cortijo and Prof. B. Sarriá, from the Pharmacology Department. She obtained a MSc in Design and analysis of clinical research in 2009, at the Universitat de Barcelona. She is an specialist in Clinical Pharmacology (training at the Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron 1992-1995; Barcelona) and worked as a Clinical Pharmacologist in the Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron from 1996 to 2007 (Catalan Institute of Pharmacology). Throughout this period she focused on pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology. In 2007 she moved to the Clinical Pharmacology Service of the Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge. Since then, she is responsible for the Pharmacovigilance Programme at the Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge. In 2008 she joined to the Neuropharmacology and Pain Research Group. At present, her main research focus is pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance and she is a member of the SCReN (Spanish Clinical Research Network) unit in the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL).
