Marc López Cano
Postdoctoral Researcher
Marc López Cano studied Biology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB, Barcelona, Spain). He obtained his Master’s degree on Neuroscience from the Universitat de Barcelona in 2013, when he joined our lab. He performed his Ph.D. at the Neuropharmacology & Pain Group, IDIBELL, Pharmacology Unit, Department of Pathology and Experimental Therapeutics, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Institute of Neurosciences, University of Barcelona under the supervision of Prof. Francisco Ciruela and Dr. Víctor Fernández-Dueñas. In 2020 he defended his thesis entitled “GPCR PHOTOPHARMACOLOGY IN INFLAMMATION & PAIN”. Currently, he is hired as a postdoctoral researcher at IDIBELL through a project entitled “Ecto-GPR37: a potential biomarker for Parkinson’s disease” which is funded by The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF).
