POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER

Alejandro Martín Belmonte studied Biochemistry at the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain). He obtained his Master’s degree on Experimental Biomedicine from the UCLM in 2016 and joined the Synaptic Structure Laboratory, Department of Histology, Faculty of Medicine Albacete (Castilla-La Mancha Spain). There, he obtained an FPI grant (Formación de Personal Investigador) and performed his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Rafael Luján and Dr. Carolina Aguado. In 2020 he defended his thesis entitled “Alteración en el hipocampo de los receptores AMPA y de GABAB en la enfermedad de Alzheimer”. In 2022 he joined our laboratory, the Neuropharmacology & Pain Group, with a Margarita Salas grant as a postdoctoral researcher and is currently developing the PLA-Immunogold and PLA-SDSFRL techniques.
