Ph.D. Student

Amelie Essmann studied Biology and Chemistry at Saint Peter’s University (USA). She completed her Master in Neurochemistry with molecular Neurobiology at Stockholm University (Sweden) in June 2023. She joined our group in September 2023, where she is performing her PhD under the supervision of Dr. Jordi Bonaventura. Initially, she is focused on the brain circuits mediating pain and mood disorders and the pharmacological actions of ketamine.
