Jorge Gandía
Ph.D. Student
Jorge Gandía studied Chemistry and Biochemistry at the Univeristat de Barcelona. During his PhD, finished in 2013, he studied the oligomerization of the adenosine A2A receptor, describing the formation of new high-order complexes and finding new interacing proteins for the receptor, among them a Parkinson’s-related orphan GPCR. As part of his training, in 2008 he was a visiting researcher at Dr. Igor Stagljar’s lab at the Universitiy of Toronto. He is currently doing postdoctoral research with Dr. Leif Hove-Madsen’s lab at the Institut Català de Ciències Cardiovasculars.
