Business Chairs
University of Barcelona, knowing the great importance of the productive sector's involvement (companies and institutions) in the developing of higher education, has promoted its implication by means of the academically acknowledged concept of Business Chair. With the object to ensure the effectiveness of these initiatives, it has been published the Regulation for the process of creation and functioning of UB's thematic chairs, approved in the Research Commission of the UB on June 28, 2006.
Business chairs of Agri-food companies
According to the general regulation, the business chairs of the Food and Nutrition Torribera Campus can:
- Take part in technical and scientific assessment in the food sector.
- Organize or participate in postgraduate courses in those fields having to do with campus' activities.
- Take part in research activities with groups and investigators and communication programs aimed to disseminate the results obtained in the fields of nutrition, food safety and dietetics.
- Organize those activities included in the agreement and which are linked to the functions and objectives of the Food and Nutrition Torribera Campus.
All these functions are undertaken in accordance with a explanatory and economic and the corresponding agreement of collaboration.
Those companies and institutions interested in signing a business chair in the Food and Nutrition Torribera Campus have to submit a request of the proposal addressed to the Direction of the Campus. It will then inform the concerned dean (or deans) and start the needed procedures to obtain the approval of the institution.
En la sol·licitud s’ha de fer constar la denominació, que ha d’incorporar de manera genèrica «Càtedra XX del campus de l’Alimentació (UB)», el nom del director i les finalitats, els objectius i les activitats per al període de vigència.
Llista de càtedres d’Empresa de la Universitat de Barcelona relacionades amb les activitats i els objectius del campus de l’Alimentació de Torribera.
