Course offerings

University of Barcelona is firmly resolved to integrate, whenever it is deemed advisable, the wide range of food-related studies and course offerings (particularly EHEA bachelor's and master's degree courses) to the Food and Nutrition Torribera Campus. During the academic year 2012-2013 it hosts Human Nutrition and Dietetics and Food Science and Technology bachelor's degree courses, both attached to the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Master in Food Safety (second semester), promoted in conjunction with Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Agència Catalana de Seguretat Alimentària (ACSA).

Student support services

One of UB's chief goals regarding student support is to offer a high quality service in order to advance in the development of the university campus concept. The ordered annually incorporation of the Human Nutrition and Dietetics and Food Science and Technology students is meant to facilitate a special support service by means of the teaching and student services building (Verdaguer) and the teaching laboratories building (Marina).

Campus services

Food and Nutrition Torribera Campus has all the academic activity support services of a traditional campus structure. A significant part of them are powered by the campus itself, whereas some others are provided from UB's general services. Among the resources intended to improve academic activities it should be highlighted the CRAI-UB's library of the Food and Nutrition Torribera Campus.

Lecture rooms & laboratories

Food and Nutrition Torribera Campus distributes its teaching facilities (lecture rooms, seminars, computer rooms and laboratories) in two singular buildings: the first to become fully operational is the teaching laboratories building (Marina), and the second one depends on a project in the process of being approved through the agreements with Diputació de Barcelona and Santa Coloma's City Council in the framework of the special plan for the Torribera premises. That's why, at present, lecture rooms and seminars are distributed among several buildings to make accessibility easier.
