Damage to the Historic Building during the Civil War
Effects of the bombing of March 1938 on the Rector's Office anteroom, now the Rectors' Portrait Gallery.
The war made itself felt at the University and the building suffered badly from bombing. Although the laboratories remained operational, classes were transferred to the buildings of the Faculty of Medicine and to the premises of the Sarrià Workers' Institute.
