The Laboratory of Phonetics offers professional services in all areas involving the human voice: legal, medical, speech therapy, advertising, L2 teaching.

Regular services

Creation of Praat scripts
Advice on experimental procedures and statistical analysis
Recording and editing of voice files for research or professional purposes
Loan of professional material for recordings

Occasional services

Education: reports for language schools, educational games, recordings for second language listening activities
Training: L1 and L2 training pronunciation; correction of articulatory and auditory disorders (support to speech therapy)
Medical field: reports on the analysis of voice quality, analysis of the effects of diseases on human voice (clinical phonology)
Judicial and legal field: forensic phonetics, transcription of recorded conversations

Library

The Phonetics Laboratory of the University of Barcelona has a Library that includes approximately 1,000 books and journals on phonetics. This Excel file contains the catalogue of the collection of the Phonetics Laboratory. All books are available for consultation at the Laboratory, but may not be borrowed.
