Work at the lab
Do you want to work at the Lab? There are several possibilities depending onyour academic career stage, you can come as undergradute student, graduate student, postdoc or researcher.
Undergraduate internships
We have a agreement with the University of Barcelona in order to recognise Lab interships as a subject of any Philology. In order to do it, you have to register the course "Practicum". You will learn loads and you will have academic support to write you "intership portfolio".
Graduate students (PhD contracts and grants)
If you are ready to pursue a PhD position, there are some possibilities to get paid while you are doing one in our Lab. Most of our members are PhD advisors in the Cognitive Science and Language program.
Governmental Funds
From the Spanish Government
Awarded by the Spanish Government (4 years). Salary around 1000 euros. Usually around 100 positions are offered for all Humanities PhDs in Spain. The cut-off mark is around 9 out of 10 in your BA. Usually, call opens in October.
From the Generalitat of Catalunya
Awarded by the Catalan Government (3 years). Salary around 1000 euros. The cut-off mark is around 9 out of 10 in your BA. Usually, call opens in October.
PREDOC-UB (APIF)
Awarded by the University of Barcelona (3 years). Salary around 1000 euros. There are two open positions (usually one for Catalan Linguistics, one for General linguistics) every two years. In order to get it you must be the best grade of that year. Usually, call opens in February.
From the Spanish Government
Awarded by the Spanish Government (4 years) to pursue a PhD degree associated to specific projects among those financed. Salary around 1000 euros. Positions are open only the first year of a running project. In order to get one, the project you are working on must have been awarded one. Usually, call opens in October.
