Information
Presentation
This is a course highly professionalizing, where programming modifications are studied, edition after edition, based on the suggestions of our students.
Despite having a solid structure, where the programming is strictly followed without changes to the dates set, we do not close the possibility of complementing the course with participation from experts in any of the areas. , the application of new techniques that may come to our knowledge or the presentation of new materials that may appear. In other words, it is a dynamic course.
The designed program allows the student to develop different exploration techniques, obtaining molds and preparing orthopodological treatments. Prioritizing practical activity so that what we do can be applied on the first day back to one's own clinical activity. Our greatest teaching satisfaction is verifying that our postgraduates make the training acquired profitable in their daily clinical practice.
It is evident that the theoretical contents are easier to access, so our main interest is to help achieve better design and construction of the different types of orthoses while manipulating different materials .
The 6 sessions that make up the course cover Thursdays and Fridays with the exception of the first session that will begin on the corresponding Wednesday. They have all been structured as shown in the following table:
THURSDAY | FRIDAY | |
MORNING (9:00-14:00) | LABORATORY PRACTICE | LABORATORY PRACTICE |
AFTERNOON (15:00-20:00) | LABORATORY PRACTICE | CLINICAL PRACTICE |
Objectives
Acquire knowledge and practice in the fields of clinical examination, diagnosis and orthopodological treatments in the professional field of Podiatry.
Complement the practices with knowledge of the biomechanical functioning of the foot and lower extremity, as well as the variants that can condition the appearance of different podiatric pathologies.
Develop different techniques for obtaining molds and preparing orthopodological treatments, as well as their indications and alternatives for each pathology.
Apply the knowledge acquired in clinical practices and encourage discussion through clinical sessions.
