Diana Gutierrez Posada, postdoctoral researcher at the Aberystwyth University, department of Economics, introduces her latest working paper at the AQR lunch seminar series.
Diana Gutierrez is the latest invited speaker to the April AQR lunch seminar series, presenting her latest contributions to youth unemployment studies in Europe. Using a spatial quantile regression approach, the article offers some important insights over the structural causes of youth unemployment during the 2008-2013 period at the NUTS2 aggregation level.
The study, co-authored by Andre Carrascal Incera, focuses on an empirical model including indicators of regional productive specialization, labour market variables as well as institutional, demographic and geographical factors as determinants of the growth rates of youth unemployment in Europe during the zenith of the crisis.
