Focus: The workshop focuses on the analysis of urban and regional development through a sustainability lens. It addresses social challenges related to climate change, territorial cohesion, and gender disparities, with a particular interest in how spatial factors influence personal and collective sustainability.

AQR RESEARCH GROUP
The University of Barcelona’s Regional Quantitative Analysis Group (AQR) is located in the University’s Department of Econometrics, Statistics and Applied Economy. Its staff, who number some forty professionals from Spain and other countries, conduct research in the field of applied economics and focus on urban and regional issues.

The 2024 Barcelona Workshop on Regional and Urban Economics is the fourteenth edition of an annual scientific meeting devoted to the regional and urban economics and developed by the AQR-IREA research group of the University of Barcelona.
