A bilingual anthology of the poetic work of Marilar Aleixandre is published under the title Sangran libro e cereixa / Sangran libro y cereza (Chan da Pólvora / Estudios Gallegos y Portugueses, 2023), written by the author herself. Aleixandre's poetry employs a precise language that seeks an adequate description of the world, nature and memory. In this way, the word recovers what it has of matter, object, natural element or cultural key, and grows in sudden shoots. The book was translated by Mercè Nebot Ventura with the collaboration of Eduard Velasco, and edited by Helena González Fernández (ADHUC-Universitat de Barcelona). The colophon of the book celebrates the participation of the Galician playwright Marta Pazos as stage director of the opera Alexina B.
