Basic data:

Being a direct disciple of professors Josep Vigo and Oriol de Bolòs, my professional orientation has been similar to theirs: floristics, phytocoenology and vegetation mapping. I have worked in vascular flora and vegetation in Pyrenean areas, mainly in the National Park Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici, in Val d’Aran, and in Andorra. The last years I have focused my vegetation studies to understand the relationships between species composition and key environmental factors. Most of the aspects treated are related to the effects of global change (climatic and soil use) on especially sensitive vegetation, such as snow beds and subalpine forest.

A substantial part of my research is aimed to the transference of knowledge on flora and vegetation to the society, i.e. to the public bodies. Thus, I collaborate in the management of data banks on flora and vegetation, and in various programs of vegetation mapping.
