My main research fields are functional ecology and ecophysiology of shrub species in cold ecosystems. I carried out my PhD at GEOVEG on the effects of warming, CO2 enrichment and summer drought on the growth and functioning of shrubs at alpine mountains. At present, I have an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Greifswald, and I mainly use annual rings and quantitative xylem anatomy to understand shrub responses to biotic and abiotic changes.
