Affect, Cinema, and Oblique Temporalities
Katarzyna Paszkiewicz (ADHUC-Universitat de les Illes Balears) will be offering a conference titled "'Stay in the Future Today': afecto, cine y temporalidades oblicuas". Paszkiewicz, specialist in film studies and affect theory, will be analysing The Florida Project, film directed by Sean Baker. It is recommended to read the introduction to Cruel Optimism, by Lauren Berlant (Duke UP, 2011) before the conference. This activity is coorganized by the MA programme in Construction and Representation of Cultural Identities (CRIC), ADHUC, and the Project Tránsfugas y parias modernas (FEM2017-83974-P MINECO/AEI/FEDER, UE).
