GDP will record a historic decline in 2020, and will not regain the pre-Covid level until 2022

The Cabinet of Economic Studies of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and the Laboratory of Transfer of Regional Quantitative Analysis of the University of Barcelona (AQR-Lab), present the report of the situation of the second quarter of 2020.
This report shows how, due to the health crisis, in 2020 the Catalan economy will fall by 7.3%. In 2021 there will be a rebound in activity, with a rate of around 5%, but this will not be so strong as to compensate for the loss of the previous year, which means that it will not be until 2022 that the previous level of activity can be recovered to the coronovarius crisis.
