Dr. Jordi Suriñach, guest speaker at the ''XVII Information services and universities guidance meetings''

Dr. Jordi Suriñach has been invited to participate as a guest speaker in the "XVII Information services and universities guidance meetings" which will be celebrated from 27 to 29 April at the University of La Rioja.

The topic of this year is "The university information and guidance: Beyond the admission" where he will speak about the drop out at the university level and which actions should do the information services and universities guidance (SIOU) to minimize it. The SIOU is a working group that gathers technical information services and orientation of 36 Spanish universities.

In the framework of this year, Dr. Jordi Suriñach will present a summary of all studies done jointly with Dr. Miquel Clar, from 2007 to the present, about the drop out in the University of Barcelona. Thus, it is proposed to extend the UB experience to the group of Spanish universities.
