AQR presents the study on the impact of the delay in the execution of judicial sentences
The Drs. Jordi Suriñach and Esther Vayá, members of the AQR-Lab Economics Laboratory of the University of Barcelona, will present on the 10th and 30th of November the study entitled: "Economic impact of the system for the execution of judicial decisions and improvement proposals."
The work was carried out in the framework of a collaboration agreement with the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona, promoted by the College of Attorneys.
The study in which the presentations will be centered, analyzes indicators on the volume of executions pending in Catalonia. Then, the results of a field work are analyzed from which the delay in the execution is quantified the impact that this Catalan economy has on you.
The long period until the effective execution of the sentence generates a set of risks and additional costs that can be of significant importance for both companies and individuals affected.
In this study, we have provided some first estimates of the economic impact that would have an improvement in the efficiency of the system of executions in Catalonia. These results are completely innovative insofar as a similar study has not been carried out until the moment of any other economy.
