    The project “Technological cooperation networks and innovation. Determinants and impact on Spanish firms’ competitiveness” (INNOREDES) lunches the first Press Releases. TECHNOLOGICAL COOPERATION IN SPANISH FIRMS, December 2015. During the economic crisis, Spanish firms cooperated in innovation activities more than in the preceding expansion period. The impact of such collaboration agreements was much clearer in the case of large firms, and especially when the partners are located abroad. [+]

    MAIN DETERMINANTS OF R&D COOPERATION: EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE FOR THE SPANISH CASE, December 2015. The high persistence found in R&D cooperation agreements in the Spanish firms would imply that collaboration-stimulating policies are supposed to have a deeper effect because they do not only affect current collaboration agreements but are also likely to induce a permanent change in favour of cooperation.     THE IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGICAL VARIETY IN CO-PATENTING NETWORKS, December 2015. The highest the technological similarity between the knowledge that enters a region thanks to collaboration agreements with inventors in other regions and the one already present in the region, the highest the absorption of new knowledge and the subsequent generation of innovations.     INNOREDES was one of the five selected projects to be funded in the 2014 call for Scholarships of the Fundación BBVA to Research Projects in Socioeconomics.

    The main objective of this project is to provide robust evidence on the role played by technological cooperation and the participation in global networks of innovation in the innovation success of Spanish firms. The project also aims to study the impact of such networks of cooperation on the economic performance of firms, specially in relation to its international competitiveness, as well as the generation of labour and inequalities.
