On 05.11.2015, Dr. Antonio Baez successfully defended his doctoral thesis "Three Empirical Essays on Informality", supervised by Dr. Raul Ramos, in the Sala de Graus at the Faculty of Economics and Business. Dr. Jaume García, Dr. Enrique López-Bazo, and Dr. Josep Lluis Roig composed the Doctoral Committee.

RSAI/ERSA 2015 Barcelona Workshop on Regional and Urban Economics: Spatial Perspectives of Human Capital
Data: 21/10/2015 The AQR-IREA Research Group of the University of Barcelona is in charge of the organization of the “RSAI/ERSA 2015 Barcelona Workshop on Regional and Urban Economics: Spatial Perspectives of Human Capital”, with the support of the Regional Science Association International (RSAI) and the European Regional Science Association (ERSA). The workshop will be held at University of Barcelona on November 26th-27th 2015.

Dr. Sandra Nieto awarded with the María Jesús San Segundo Award at the AEDE Meeting 2015
Data: 16/09/2015 Dr. Sandra Nieto was awarded with the María Jesús San Segundo Award for the best paper of young authors presented at the XXIV Meeting 2015 of the Association of Economics Education (AEDE), held on 25th and 26th June in Madrid, for her paper entitled "Overeducation, skills and wage penalty: Evidence for Spain using PIAAC data".
