CRIC Outstanding Master's Thesis Awards in contemporary theatre studies for two projects directed by Marta Segarra
On 23 November, the third prize-giving event of the CRIC Awards for Contemporary Theatre Studies took place. The book Flexionar la diferencia sexual amb els cossos. Escriptura i cos textual en la dansa (Edicions UB, col-lecció CRIC, 2023) by Oriol López Esteve, which was awarded the CRIC prize for the best master's thesis in the second edition of the awards, was presented. At the same event, the winner of the third edition was announced, which corresponded to a research work entitled De la clínica a l'escena. La reescriptura de la histèria a "Portrait de Dora" d'Hélène Cixous by Alba Palau Centellas, who received a grant to collaborate with ADHUC. This research work will be published as a book in 2024 within the CRIC collection.
The research of these two theses has been carried out under the direction of Marta Segarra (LEGS-CNRS and ADHUC-Universitat de Barcelona).
With the aim of promoting research and teaching in theatre studies, in the academic year 2020-2021 awards were created for the best TFG and TFM in contemporary theatre studies, promoted by the Master in Construction and Representation of Cultural Identities (CRIC), the research group Contemporary British Theatre Barcelona, the Facultat de Filologia i Comunicació and the Teatre Lliure.
