The 12th Autumn Conference of Tàcita Muta invites you to reflect on the topic "On the margins: poverty and social exclusion in history". How is social marginalisation documented and what kind of corporal punishment did delinquents suffer in ancient Egypt? What were the implications of poverty and precariousness for women in ancient Greece, for old widows in late medieval Barcelona and for families in the textile colonies? What kind of interventions do the "new pedagogies" make among marginalised subjects? How did book womencontribute to the redemption of the poverty generated by the crisis of 1929? The conference, coordinated by Ariadna Guimerà (Tàcita Muta-Universitat de Barcelona) and David Muñoz (Tàcita Muta), will include the participation of Maria Dolors Molas (Tàcita Muta-ADHUC, Universitat de Barcelona); Rosa Rius (Philosophy and Gender Seminar-ADHUC, Universitat de Barcelona); Marc Orriols (Tàcita Muta-Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona); Àngeles Caba (Tàcita Muta, IES) and Mireia Comas (Universitat de Barcelona).
This activity is supported by the Institut Català de les Dones. Face-to-face event. Free attendance.
