Graduate Programmes

The creation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) has transformed Master degrees and postgraduate programs into the gateway to doctoral studies. Masters offer the students the possibility of initiating or further developing their research activity. The Department of Medieval History, Palaeography and Diplomatics is extensively involved in the MA in Medieval Cultures, whose main goal is the training of specialists in the Middle Ages.

Moreover, the members of the Department are also involved in two doctoral programmes: the Medieval Cultures programme, where they collaborate with medieval scholars from different faculties of the University of Barcelona, and the Society and Culture programme, in conjunction with other scholars from the Faculty of Geography and History.

The Department encourages and promotes the participation of students in a series of seminars, workshops and cultural activities related to the Middle Ages.
