Research on the promising bacteriophage fiNF-1 continues with a new three-year public-private collaboration project, funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, to study its effectiveness under real conditions. Apart from the team of the UB and Fertinagro Biotech, the Centre for Edaphology and Applied Biology of the Segura (CEBAS-CSIC) also participates in the project. The objective is to apply the product in a real environment to check its effects on Nitrosomones. The project will also evaluate that the presence of the phages does not damage other soil populations. The project (reference CPP2021-008325) has been funded by MICIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and the European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR
