Members of the MARS group have collaborated in the elaboration of the contents of the new educational web site on the bacteriophages. This web site (www.coliphages.com) explains what coliphages are; how they reproduce; their use as viral indicators in water, food and biosolids; their persistence in the environment and their resistance to treatments. Each of these aspects is structured in different web pages, providing information on the traditional analytical methods and additional references. Thus, those interested can deepen into the knowledge of bacteriophages.
