We are glad to announce the launch of the project ADVANCE4WATER "Advances in the fate, impact and remediation of pollutants for water sustainability (PID2022-139911OB), funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by ERDF A way of making Europe.

This project, led by our group MAiMA, with the participation of Catalan Institute for Water Research (ICRA) and Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha as subprojects, meets the interests of three different partners that have been collaborating in competitive projects for more than a decade.

The main objective of ADVANCE4WATER is to advance in the understanding of diffuse and point source water pollution at field scale, including, but not limited to, nitrate, halogenated volatile organic compounds, and emerging contaminants such as pesticides and pharmaceutically active compounds, and their environmental impact. A second objective is to test innovative induced attenuation strategies for agricultural, urban, and industrial groundwater pollution at laboratory and field scale.

The virtual kick-off meeting took place last October 24th, 2023. Thanks to all the collaborators for their participation!
