We, Josep Pons Granja and Rosa Mª Castejón Arqued, are the authors of the compilations included in GEOIMATGE. We are currently pre-retired Emeritus Professorsof the Department of Physical Geography and Regional Geographical Analysis. We are ascribed to the area of Regional Geographical Analysis.
Our research specialties are notably different. Josep Pons has directed his research towards the Didactics of Geography, while Rosa Castejón has analyzed the maritime and port activities within the framework of Geography. Our PhDs, as well as most of our publications, respond to these two lines of research, respectively.
The documents “Didactic Resources” and “Port Geography”are the result of our teaching activity within the Geography Bachelors Degree program. Both subjects were taught during several years as part of the second cycle of the degree. The use of electronic resources for the courses has allowed the spread via internet of the materials that at the time were exposed during lectures or hand-given to students.
It is also worth mentioning that for a number of years we worked together in preparing lectures and field trips for the Geography of Spain course. We will soon edit the results and materials derived from this team effort. We have recently worked together again to update and digitally process the old slides of the Department.
GEOIMATGE comprises both our individual and team contributions, and it is clear that its creation is the result of our long-lived team work.
