Since the date of its creation (1999), the group has been extremely active, either in obtaining research funds, in scientific productivity or in advanced training of students.
In the period 2009-2017, the group obtained a total of 28 grants in competitive national and international calls, and contracts for a total amount close to 1 M€. During the same period, the group members published 293 papers in peer-reviewed SCI journals, which received more than 2000 citations.
Additional research outputs include contributions to other journals, book chapters and book editions in international renowned collections, presentations to symposia, and significant outreaching initiatives. Moreover, the group is also very active in training students, as demonstrated by the 32 PhD theses, 83 Master theses and ca. 100 Bachelor theses presented in 2009-2017.
All the above mentioned quantitative data have been extracted from the two last activity reports (2013 and 2017). However, they are fully representative for the extant period (2018-2020), in which the activity and achievements of the group have been maintained or even increased.
