Sessió de benvinguda de la Trobada Salut Global LERU_EGHRIN: "Persones sanes, societats saludables: un enfocament integrat" del 13 al 14 de juny de 2022 a l'Aula Magna de la Universitat de Barcelona. Sessió dirigida per Joan Guàrdia, rector de la Universitat de Barcelona; Kurk Deketalaere, secretari general, LERU i Antoni Plasència, president d'EGHRIN.

La COVID-19 ha contribuït a revisar i redefinir l'agenda de recerca i innovació en salut global. LERU, en col·laboració amb EGHRIN, han identificat conjuntament la necessitat i la rellevància d'aquesta agenda de recerca en salut global per a Europa i més enllà, les dimensions multiinter i transdisciplinàries d'aquesta agenda de recerca, el potencial per a la investigació col·laborativa interdisciplinària, el potencial de treballar més enllà de fronteres. El potencial per vincular aquesta agenda de recerca amb l'educació superior, les oportunitats afegides per a la salut global més enllà de la recerca i l'educació: innovació i traducció i el potencial de finançament a la UE i altres instruments. Durant 2 dies, aquest ajuntament analitzarà i debatrà aquests temes al voltant de 4 grans eixos: Societats saludables i sostenibles, Accés equitatiu a la Salut, Comunicació i mala comunicació sanitàries i Tecnologies de la Informació per a la Salut.

Welcome session of the LERU_EGHRIN Global Health Town Hall Meeting: "Healthy people, healthy societies: an integrated approach" on June 13-14th, 2022 at the Aula Magna of the University of Barcelona.  Session led by Joan Guàrdia, Rector of the University of Barcelona; Kurk Deketalaere, Secretary General, LERU and Antoni Plasència, Chair of EGHRIN. 

COVID-19 has contributed to revisiting and redefining the Global Health research and innovation agenda. LERU in collaboration with EGHRIN have jointly identified the need and relevance of this Global Health research agenda for Europe and beyond, the multi-inter and trans-disciplinary dimensions of this research agenda, the potential for interdisciplinary collaborative research, the potential for working across borders, the potential for linking this research agenda to higher education, the added oppportunities for Global Health beyond research and education: innovation & translation and the potential for funding across EU and other instruments.  For 2 days, this town hall meeting will analyse and discuss these issues around 4 major areas: Healthy and sustainable societies, Equitable access to Health, Health communication and miscommunication and Information Technologies for Health.
