Creatio, the Center for the Production and Validation of Advanced Therapies at the University of Barcelona (UB), ​​has obtained funding of almost one million euros from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation to acquire and set up one of the first GMP-qualified 4D bio-printers in the world.

The director of Creatio, Dr. Josep M. Canals, and the University’s Dean, Dr. Joan Guàrdia, explain the importance of this acquisition for the development of innovative cell treatments for incurable diseases such as neurodegenerative disorders. With this acquisition, Creatio places itself at the forefront of translational research in tissue engineering.
