Opening session of the third edition of the Arab-Euro Conference on Higher Education (AECHE), that took place in Barcelona between 25-27 May, has strengthened and extended the dialogue between higher education institution from Europe and the Arab world. The conference, also, is an opportunity to promote inter-regional dialogue with other regions of the world, such as Latin America. Latin America, Europe and the Arab world share common challenges, and AECHE is a good forum to express the different perspective from where each region is looking at those challenges. Session lead by: Dídac Ramírez i Sarrió, Rector of the University of Barcelona; Raül Romeva, Minister for Institutional and External Affairs and Relations and for Transparency, Government of the 'Generalitat de Catalunya'; Jorge Sainz-Gónzalez, Secretary General for Universities, Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, Spain; Ada Colau, Mayor of Barcelona. Opertura de la tercera edició de la conferència àrab-Euro d'Educació Superior (AECHE), que va tenir lloc a Barcelona entre 25-27 de maig, s'ha enfortit i ampliat el diàleg entre les institucions d'educació superior d'Europa i el món àrab. La conferència, també, és una oportunitat per promoure el diàleg inter-regional amb altres regions del món, com Amèrica Llatina. Llatinoamèrica, Europa i els reptes comuns que comparteixen món àrab, i AECHE és un bon fòrum per expressar el punt de vista diferent de la que cada regió està mirant a aquests desafiaments.
