The Group of Research in Teaching Innovation in Economics (GIDTAAVE, for its acronym in Catalan)of the University of Barcelona (Spain) invites abstract submissions for paper presentations at the 1st International Conference in Experiences in Active Learning in Higher Education. The Conference will be held on October 27, 2017 at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Barcelona (Spain).
The keynote talk of the Conference will be delivered by prof. Piet Van den Bossche from the University of Antwerp (Faculty of Social Sciences) and Maastricht University (School of Business & Economics). Prof. Van den Bossche is an expert in learning and cognition in teams and collaborative environments, both in educational and organizational contexts. He is Chief editor of the book series ‘Advances in Business Education and Training’ and Associate editor of ‘Educational Research
Review’.
The goal of the conference is to provide a forum for high-quality research in innovation in Higher Education focusing on active learning methodologies (flipped classroom, team-based learning, experiments, etc.). The event provides an opportunity for lecturers from different universities and countries to discuss their work in a relaxed atmosphere and to develop long-term collaborative relationships.
The organizers of the Conference will select a subset of the presented papers for publication in a Special Issue of the Revista d’Innovació I Recerca en Educació (http://revistes.ub.edu/index.php/REIRE/index).
