Danica Salazar
Danica Salazar is a postgraduate researcher in the Department of English and German Philology of the University of Barcelona. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in
European Languages from the University of the Philippines and a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the University of Salamanca. She
is currently working towards a PhD in Applied Linguistics at the University of Barcelona, writing her dissertation on lexical bundles and scientific English. She has participated in several conferences in Spain and abroad and published articles on English and Hispanic studies. She has also co-authored Spanish course books for foreign language learners and taught various courses on English corpus linguistics and teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Her research interests include language teaching and the use of corpus-based methods for researching phraseology, lexicography, EAP and World Englishes.
