Presentation
Changes in the last two decades have radically altered the way in which universities interact with wider society. Indeed, it is no exaggeration to say that higher education institutions have reached a cross-roads, with many questions waiting to be answered.
Studies are needed to examine how universities must now engage with the responsibilities that have traditionally been entrusted to them. As such, the objectives of the Chair are:
- To create a forum for the study and analysis of the different aspects of university life.
- To develop tools to gather information on each of these aspects of higher education institutions.
- To create a new area of comprehensive learning in the humanities for university students.
- To communicate the conclusions and outcomes of its activities and make its tools available for wider use.
