HISTORY AND DIGITAL HUMANITIES TO ANALYZE THE STRENGTH OF IDENTITY
The Josep Termes Chair was created in 2012 and is attached to the Department of History and Archaeology. It promotes research, the training of research staff and the transfer of knowledge to promote dialogue between the humanities and technology. The Chair promotes research in history, the configuration of identities and digital humanities to give career opportunities to graduates in the humanities (history, philosophy, philology, linguistics, art history, archaeology, political science, music, information and documentation, sociology and cultural studies, among others). The researchers of the Chair create scientific content for the current information society. The Josep Termes Chair welcomes and integrates the Research Group in National Studies and Cultural Policies (GRENPoC), made up of historians, sociologists and political scientists, and recognized by AGAUR, GRPRE 2017 SGR 1098. In addition, it publishes the scientific journal Humanitats Digitals / Digital Humanities within the RCUB platform

Doctor en història contemporània, professor titular del Departament d’Història i Arqueologia de la Universitat de Barcelona. Està especialitzat en història del nacionalisme i historiografia. És IP del Grup de Recerca en Estudis Nacionals i Polítiques Culturals (GRENPoC) i editor-director de la revista Humanitats Digitals / Digital Humanities (HD/DH). És soci de l’Editorial Afers. Dirigeix la Càtedra des del 2012.

Doctora amb menció internacional en història contemporània per la Universitat de Barcelona (2017). Especialitzada en història del nacionalisme i de l’exili basc, està acabant l’edició del llibre Patriots and bastards. The evolution of Basque nationalisms in exile through Manuel Irujo’s eyes. Pertany, també, al Grup de Recerca en Estats, Nacions i Sobiranies (GRENS) de la Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Actualment és diputada de la XII legislatura al Parlament de Catalunya.

Doctor en ciències, física i història. Professor associat del Departament d’Història i Arqueologia de la Universitat de Barcelona i Director de l’Observatori del Tibet i Àsia Central. Especialitzat en història del Tibet. Actualment és cap de l’Oficina del president Carles Puigdemont.

Sociologist and consultant applied in public policies. She currently works as a researcher hired at Pompeu Fabra University and is an associate professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He has worked on language, immigration, culture, participation, education, memory, symbols and national identity. She is the director of the Fundació Congrés de Cultura Catalana.

És investigador postdoctoral de la UdL on imparteix docència sobre història contemporània, moviments socials i societat i cultura. També és professor col·laborador de la UOC. Treballa a la Universitat de Barcelona des de 1997, desenvolupant la seva activitat a les dues biblioteques patrimonials: el Pavelló de la República i el fons antic de Reserva. És professora col·laboradora a la UOC, dins el Grau d’Història, Geografia i Història de l’Art. Darrerament ha centrat la seva recerca en l’ajuda humanitària als exiliats de la Guerra Civil Espanyola a França entre 1939 i 1945.

Doctor en Historia per la Universidad de Barcelona, està especialitzat en la historia de la descolonització del Sàhara Occidental. És membre del Grup de Recerca en Estudis Nacionals i Polítiques Culturals (GRENPoC) i del Centro de Estudios sobre el Sàhara Occidental (CESO) de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostel·la. És Oficial del Registre de la propietat de Barcelona.
