UB Chair Internal Medicine SEMI-FEMI-MENARINI-AMLA
This Chair is the result of a collaboration between the University of Barcelona, the Spanish Society of Internal Medicine, the Spanish Foundation for Internal Medicine, Laboratories Menarini SA, and A. Menarini Latin America, SLU to promote the development of teaching and research in the Internal Medicine field.

This Chair will pursue the following lines of action:
- Conducting courses, seminars, conferences and other teaching or dissemination activities in subjects related to Internal Medicine.
- Completion of masters, postgraduate and other academic programs in the field of Internal Medicine, in collaboration where appropriate with other universities in Spain and Latin America. The description, objectives, and structure of the various teaching programs that can be carried out will be included in their approval report and in the corresponding specific agreements.
- Carrying out research projects in Internal Medicine.
- The CME, through the UB and the SEMI, will serve as an instrument to promote collaboration between prestigious researchers and professors in the field of Internal Medicine, both in Spain and in Latin America and can establish relationships and collaboration agreements with other prestigious university centres at both national and international level, in order to be able to grant double degrees, through agreements with scientific societies and universities in Latin America.
