This Minor Chair is an initiative of AMES Group, which specializes in the manufacturing of metallic components using power metallurgy.
It will promote the use of power metallurgy technology for the production of more efficient filters and microfilters to be employed in processes generating high levels of mechanical and thermal stress.
The Minor Chair will focus on integrating sintered materials into microfiltration and ultrafiltration, processes used extensively in the treatment of water and liquids, particularly in the food and drink industry.
One specific objective is the creation of software to simulate filter operation, which will make it easier to solve practical problems arising in filtration and microfiltration without resorting to excessive use of the classical trial and error method.
