Chair UB Rector Francisco Buscarons Úbeda. Forensic Chemistry and Chemical Engineering
The Chair aims to promote a set of teaching, research, training and dissemination activities in the field of Forensic Sciences and Engineering, primarily in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.

Presentation
The chair responds to society's increasingly common request for the need to develop expert opinions to help determine the causes of incidents with judicial implications.
Forensic Science and Engineering is multidisciplinary and faces a large number of challenges. It includes topics in chemistry, physics, geology, biology and the other natural sciences. Its professionals must be able to articulate the fundamental principles and theories of science in order to draw up opinions.
Objectives
The aim of the Chair is to collaborate in the development of science and technology that allows the elaboration of expert opinions to solve legal problems. That is, to help reconstruct the less clear aspects in a story that lead to the causes of an incident with legal implications. At the same time, it contributes to advances of knowledge in Science and Engineering.
