Chair BioHorizons-UB

We believe that the purpose of the Chair is, through university-business collaboration, to insist on scientific progress as well as the promotion of teaching in the field of oral implantology. To do this, the objectives set out are:

• Investigate crestal and subcrestal implantation, the convenience of using short implants, as well as the improvement of prosthetic attachments.
• Improve and enact teaching in oral implantology.
• Disseminate knowledge regarding oral implantology.

In order to achieve these objectives, we have planned the following actions:

• Presentation ceremony in the Auditorium of the Bellvitge Campus (Faculty of Medicine and Sciences of La Salut, UB).
• An annual workshop organized by the Bihorizons Company with the presence of experts in the field.
• An impantological oral surgery clinical workshop to be held at the Odontological Hospital University of Barcelona, ​​UB A research study (to be carried out at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and at the Odontological Hospital University of Barcelona) with Bihorizons implants, the results of which were published in an article in industry magazines. They will be developed within the framework of at least one doctoral thesis.
• Dissemination of the results obtained in the annual congresses of the sector: SEI, SECIB, SEGER, among others.
• Prepare scientific articles to be published in industry magazines.
