Objective
To contribute to our understanding of the diffusion processes of innovation and knowledge in space. The principal requirements the project fulfills: A consistent database for the state of the art in innovation and knowledge; Comparison with the EU and national data; Identification of the most important inter-regional spillover mechanisms; An inventive approach with the scientific answers to the policy questions; The identification of new development opportunities through innovation for Europe and its territories. AQR-IREA will collaborate as a partner with research groups from prestigious European Universities, such as CRENOS Research Center, London School of Economics, Politectico di Milano (Coordinator) or University of Cardiff
