Joana Masó (ADHUC) has recently co-edited with Carles Guerra and Valérie Rousseau the first English-language volume dedicated to the psychiatrist Francesc Tosquelles, which has been published in New York. It is the catalogue of the exhibition entitled ‘Francesc Tosquelles: Adelante-Garde Psychiatry and the Birth of Arte Sucio’, which was presented at the American Folk Art Museum between 12 April and 18 August 2024. The exhibition was previously on view at the Abattoirs art centre in Toulouse (2021), the CCCB in Barcelona (2022) and the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid (2023). This volume brings together, alongside essays by French and Spanish researchers, a set of new essays by renowned American specialists.
