Under the title Identities, gender and cultures. Food for the body, food for the spirit, the 11th Tácita Muta Autumn Conference is held, in its 2022 edition, coordinated by Agnès García-Ventura (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and Cristina Yúfera. The objective of this session is to analyze, throughout history and from a gender perspective, issues such as breastfeeding, food in the medieval Islamic West, hunger in relation to holiness and fashion, obesity and carnivory. Participating, among others: Marta Segarra (LEGS-CNRS and ADHUC-Universitat de Barcelona); Ariadna Guimerà (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona); Carlos Buenacasa, Núria Fabrellas and Mari Ángeles Pérez Samper (Universitat de Barcelona); and Mireia Lopez-Bertran (Universitat de València).
This activity has the support of the Institut Català de les Dones. On-site event. Attendance is open to anyone interested.
