Final Girls, Feminism and Popular Culture, coeditat per Katarzyna Paszkiewicz i Stacy Rusnak, examina les reformulacions contemporànies de la “Final Girl” al cinema, la literatura i la televisió, centrant-se especialment en textos populars produïts al segle XXI. El llibre expandeix els debats al voltant de la figura de la “Final Girl” més enllà del subgènere slasher i reflexiona sobre com els relats audiovisuals i literaris permeten reconsiderar el terme que Carol J. Clover va proposar fa 30 anys i com aquest trop continua influint la nostra comprensió del feminisme i de la cultura popular. Les contribucions al volum afronten aquestes qüestions des d’un conjunt divers de perspectives i amb diferents respostes, que s’emmarquen en les teories del gènere fílmic, el posthumanisme, passant per les teories de gènere, sexualitat i racialització, així com d’identificació i d’espectatorietat.
