The volume “Palabras para una tribu”, edited by Jorge Luis Peralta (ADHUC) and Rafael M. Mérida Jiménez (ADHUC—Universitat de Lleida), has been published. This book includes the specific words or vocabularies that gays, lesbians, trans, and other minorities from Argentina, Spain, and Mexico created. This slang has been reconstructed from various sources - such as literature and dictionaries from newspapers and testimonies - in order to give account of the ways in which some words like "marica", "joto", and "loca" have been used to name these communities, as well as the ways in which these communities have named themselves. Scholars Estrella Díaz Fernández, Rodrigo Laguarda, Rafael M. Jiménez, Enrique Meléndez Zarco, Jorge Luis Peralta, and Patricio Simonetto have collaborated in writing this volume.
