The volume Antes del orgullo. Recuperando la memoria gay, edited by Jorge Luis Peralta (CONICET- Universidad Nacional de La Plata), has been published. This publication recovers the spaces and experiences that shaped the gay culture of the 70s through an exercise of plural memory drawn from Mexico, Argentina and Spain. The essays included in this volume revise the meaning of the term "gay" in a historical moment prior to "pride", thus enriching the LGTBI / queer archives of the countries mentioned above. Apart from the editor, Humberto Guerra, José Ignacio Lanzagorta García, Mauricio List Reyes, Elena Madrigal, Ernesto Mecca, Rafael M. Mérida, Rubén Mettini Vilas, Alejandro Modarelli, and Saúl Villegas Martínez also collaborate in the volume. This publication is the result of the project of "Diversity of gender, masculinity and culture in Spain, Argentina and Mexico", of which Rafael M. Mérida Jiménez is the Principal Investigator.
