The doctoral candidate Georgina González Rabassó, who was awarded a FI scholarship (Generalitat de Catalunya) and who is a researcher at the Seminari Filosofia i Gènere, will defend her doctoral thesis, directed by Rosa Rius Gatell (Universitat de Barcelona), entitled "'Subtilitates naturae'. Continuïtats i ruptures a la cosmologia d'Hildegarda de Bingen (1098-1179)". The thesis looks into the philosophical aspect of Hildegard of Bingen's work, and offers an analysis of her "visions" of the universe from a cosmological point of view, focusing on the author's contributions and her dialogue with the philosophy of nature.
